Zaelia Bishop

Zaelia Bishop was born in Rome in November 1977. His work – between collage and assemblage – aims to bring back and transfigure the symbols and boundaries of personal and collective memory in a contemporary context. Since 2016, he writes and directs the video-project Chasing Boundaries with Emanuele Napolitano. This project explores and describes the artistic and socio-political realities of countries with complex identities, through stories that unfold without any filter from the artists. Main personal exhibitions: Col Favore delle stelle (Muller & Glimpsel Galerie – Flaq, Paris, 2015); Novembre 1977 (Sala Santa Rita, Rome, 2013); Daedalus Rising (FabricaFluxus Gallery, Bari, 2011); Il Terzo Inverno (Galleria Ingresso Pericoloso, Rome, 2011); Anticamera delle Ceneri (C.I.A.C Museum, Genazzano, 2009); Diari dal Daedalo (Motelsalieri, Rome, 2008); Naturalia (DoraDiamanti arte contemporanea, Rome, 2007.
