Margherita Moscardini at Artissima

AlbumArte is pleased to share that Margherita Moscardini will be at Artissima, showing an unpublished series of works from her project Istanbul City Hills – On the Natural History of Dispersion and States of Aggregation (2013), purchased by MAXXI and produced by AlbumArte.

Istanbul City Hills – On The Natural History of Dispersion and States of Aggregation has been realized in September 2013, during Margherita Moscardini artist-in-residence in Istanbul at Palazzo Venezia, the Official Residence of the Ambassador of Italy in Istanbul.
The project was showed at Italian Institute of Culture in Istanbul as part of “Anteprima” – a programme of cultural and artistic exchanges organized by Cristina Cobianchi/AlbumArte – and it was realized in scope of the 13th Istanbul Biennial Parallel Events Programme
Istanbul City Hills – On The Natural History of Dispersion and States of Aggregation was produced by AlbumArte, the Embassy of Italy in Turkey and the Italian Institute of Culture in Istanbul, with the support of AGI Verona Collection (Italy) and Visioni Future (Potenza, Italy) It was curated by Maria Rosa Sossai.
The project was conceived with the aim to understand the recent urban transformation of the city (Urban Gentrification and Gated Communities).
