Tuesday 17 December 2024, The Academy of Fine Arts of Frosinone, cultural partner of the project and AlbumArte, an independent artistic production centre in Rome, presents the exhibition When in Rome. Beyond the Boundaries of the Skin as part of the travel project When in Rome, curated by Adriana Polveroni, produced by AlbumArte, under the direction of Cristina Cobianchi and financed by the Lazio Region as part of the Lazio Contemporaneo 2022 public notice.
Elena Biani, exhibition assistant, the lecturer Sabrina Vedovotto and the students of her course ‘Exhibition Communication’ will talk to each other. The theme of the meeting and the exhibition are the results of the research conducted by Cristina Cobianchi and Adriana Polveroni on young talents under 35 working in Rome, especially in spaces founded and managed with equally young curators in peripheral areas, in disused factories, former workshops or old garages, disused craft workshops, and that are changing the fabric and the artistic ferment and the artistic ferment of the Capital with their open research into the present and dialogue with several voices The project starts in the Capital and then seeks out, interrogates other places, becoming periphery and skin, distance and contact.
