Sonia Andresano

Sonia Andresano (Salerno, 1983) Lives and works between Rome and Milan. 

She graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and in Art History at Sapienza University in Rome. In her works, themes such as waiting, travel, nomadism and change narrate personal elements in continuous evolution. Her works range from sculpture to video, from performance to photography. In 2017 she won the first prize at the Apulia Land Art Festival. Among the most important exhibitions: “Allegra ma non troppo”, AlbumArte, Rome, 2020; “Permesso di sosta e fermata”, Atelier d’Artista, Mercati di Traiano, Museo dei Fori Imperiali, Rome, 2020; “GruGame”, Spazio_duale, Pastificio Cerere, Rome, 2020; “Che ci faccio qui?”, isualcontainer [.BOX] Videoart project space, Milan, 2019; “Crescit eundo”, Festival Art+b=love(?), Ancona, 2019; “Peso Leggero”, AlbumArte, Rome, 2018. In 2019 she was a finalist for the award “Un’opera per il castello” at Castel Sant’Elmo, Naples. Recently she was an artist in residence in Viafarini, Milan. Her works have been acquired by the Video Archive of Careof, Milan. She participated in ARKAD | Manifesta Marseille 13, 2020, with the video installation BARCODE.
