Estibaliz S\u00e0daba Murguia (Bilbao, 1963) Starting from the study and the deconstruction of the most traditional female\r\narchetypes, through her works the artist contributes to the creation of a strategy against the dominant discourse,\r\nespecially within the art world. She obtained a MA and a PhD in Investigaci\u00f3n y Creaci\u00f3n en Arte at Basque Country\r\nUniversity (EHU\/UPV). She was awarded different scholarships, among which Fundaci\u00f3n BBVA, Beca Art I Natura di\r\nFarrera, l\u2019Academia de Espa\u00f1a a Roma, La Cit\u00e9 International des Arts de Paris, Fundaci\u00f3n Bilbaoarte, Museo Artium e\r\nFundaci\u00f3n Arte y Derecho. She carried out exhibitions within museums and international institutions as Museo di Arte\r\nContemporanea di Castiglia e Le\u00f3n (MUSAC), Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda, MACBA, Fundaci\u00f3 Antoni\r\nT\u00e0pies, CDAN \u2013 Huesca, Matadero de Madrid. She also directed different seminars and workshops on art, activism,\r\nand feminism, and she works as editor for different publications as Erreakzoia, Joyas y Caprichos and Series Multiples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
